The MWSaHTB Blog’s analytics tell me that 56 people are following the blog by subscription, meaning that they should be receiving EMails of all blog posts. With the recent downturn in participation, especially for Wednesdays, I have to wonder if everyone is receiving the communications. It’s quite possible that some have our blog emails being filtered as spam or they have made adjustments to the delivery schedules so that they are not finding out about things on time.
As a test, I ask all to reply to me, email@example.com, that they are receiving this blog post in their InBox and let me know approximately when you received it (please do so even if you are not currently active playing in the sessions). If there end up being some players that I don’t hear from, I will have to conclude that they don’t know when they are playing in matches, when we are in need of players, etc. and we have a problem.
I am fully aware that people do not want to receive a flood of EMail messages from the blog, so I will try to limit unnecessary posts. Ideally, if we were able to get to more of a steady state of participation, there should only be 4 weekly EMails coming out from me, sign up posts for Monday and Wednesday and the match pairings posts for Monday and Wednesday. However, recently we have been scrambling to fill matches and it is the best means for getting to players.
If I only get direct responses from say, 25 of the 56 players supposedly subscribed to follow the blog, then I think we will have identified the problem. I will work with you for any subscription difficulties.
